  • Flawless Fitness - The Gym

Flawless Fitness' studio space is not what you might expect a personal training gym to look like.  There are no cardio machines, strength machines or, really, machines of any kind.  The only machines there, as a matter of fact, are the people who come in and train-- you are your own machine, and your body was made to move its own way.

michaelknifefightingSelf-Defense. Knife-Fighting.

Michael started his martial arts training at 16 in order to get away from the temptations of street life, and to increase his ability to manage the feelings that came from his own experiences with violence.  He has been a consistent student and practitioner of the martial arts ever since.  He fought professionally in the Mixed Martial Arts realm for 5 years; he holds a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu; he is an instructor in the Apache Knife Fighting system; he has trained in other reality based/scenario replication systems such as the Jim Wagner System, Senshido, and the S.P.E.A.R. System.  He firmly believes that to resolve any societal problem, you have to attempt to try to help as many sides of the issue as possible.  Students in his classes and his school often ask him why, “Why do you train and teach others to stand up for themselves?” His response is best summed up with the following statement: “Why do I do this? Violence has a language all its own. People need to be competent and knowledgeable about it in order to be safe from it. I help them become competent and knowledgeable. I help them understand violence in order to avoid its path as well as its use. I help them become smarter and stronger.”
